Description
Aways look up — you never know what you’ll find in trees. It’s an early spring morning and when the rest of us are waking up, others are just starting to falls asleep, like this great horned owl owlet. Mom is nearby keeping a watchful eye, so baby isn’t alone. And while this baby looks oh-so-adorable in its down feathers, did you know that when it becomes an adult it’s grip force will be so strong that it will take nearly 300 psi (pounds per square inch) to open their clenched talons. That’s enough to sever the spine of large prey.
